Vamos A Pescar wins three MobileWebAwards

ALEXANDRIA, VA (February 11, 2015) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced its Vamos a Pescar™ campaign website was awarded three 2014 MobileWebAwards by the Web Marketing Association. VamosAPescar.org was honored for creativity in the Family, Leisure and Non-Profit Mobile Website categories.

“We’re delighted to receive recognition for VamosAPescar.org,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “The Vamos A Pescar campaign is critical to engaging the next generation of U.S. boaters and anglers, ensuring overall participation, and the funds it generates for future aquatic conservation efforts, continues to thrive.”

VamosAPescar.org received three MobileWebAwards; one of each in the Family Mobile Website, Leisure Mobile Website and Non-Profit Mobile Website categories. Entries into these categories are judged on seven criteria: design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation and content.

Launched in April 2014, VamosAPescar.org is a one-stop resource for Hispanic boaters and anglers to learn, plan and equip for a day on the water. The site is part of a larger campaign launched by RBFF to engage the rapidly growing Hispanic community in boating and fishing. In addition to VamosAPescar.org, the campaign also includes Spanish-language advertisements and experiential marketing. RBFF stakeholders are encouraged to utilize the free Spanish-language resources available in its online Resource Center.

For 17 years, the MobileWebAwards have honored websites that improve the quality of advertising, internet marketing and website promotion. Submissions for this year’s competition represent some of the best websites in 96 industries. A complete list of MobileWebAward Winners is available at mobile-webaward.org.
