At Walt Disney World Resort, we offer many outdoor recreational activities in addition to our theme parks for guests to enjoy, said Carlos Castro, vice president of Disney Corporate Alliances. We’re excited to team up with RBFF and Take Me Fishing to promote family fun in the great outdoors through our park and media networks.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (July 25, 2013) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) and its Take Me Fishing™ campaign today announced a new alliance relationship with Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Media Networks that will encourage kids and families to connect with nature through boating and fishing.

The alliance relationship will encourage guests who boat and fish at Walt Disney World Resort to continue these memorable experiences at home by connecting them with TakeMeFishing.org, which provides information about where to boat and fish in their local communities.

“We’re thrilled to work with Disney to make “Take Me Fishing” part of guests’ fishing and boating experiences at Walt Disney World Resort,” said Frank Peterson, president and CEO of RBFF. “By doing so, we are able to promote boating and fishing to a broader audience and expand on our shared vision of connecting kids and families with nature.”

“At Walt Disney World Resort, we offer many outdoor recreational activities in addition to our theme parks for guests to enjoy,” said Carlos Castro, vice president of Disney Corporate Alliances. “We’re excited to team up with RBFF and Take Me Fishing to promote family fun in the great outdoors through our park and media networks.”

Walt Disney World Resort offers guests wonderful boating experiences and unparalleled catch-and-release fishing. There are 11 locations across Walt Disney World Resort that offer guided fishing excursions. Additionally, dockside fishing takes place at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and cane pole fishing takes place at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-Riverside.

RBFF also will leverage the reach and engagement of Disney Media Networks to keep boating and fishing top of mind, including sponsorship of relevant Phineas and Ferb episodes on Disney Channel and Disney XD, activating at popular community events around the country with Radio Disney, as well as integration of the Take Me Fishing messaging within the popular “Where’s My Perry” app.
