Take Me Fishing Receives Nine W3 Awards for Website Design & Development
International Academy of the Visual Arts honors TakeMeFishing.org, its mobile website and its Fishington online community

ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 20, 2011) – The Take Me Fishing™ campaign received nine W3 Awards for website design and development, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) announced today. The 2011 W3 Awards, which received more than 3,000 entries, are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA). TakeMeFishing.org, its mobile website and its Fishington online community, received the following honors:

“We’re pleased to receive recognition from the W3 Awards for the third year in a row,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “Our goal is to grow the website and diversify our digital tools so boaters and anglers can access ‘where to’ and ‘how to’ information whenever and wherever they need it.”

Last year, TakeMeFishing.org received over four million visits. In 2011, the site also earned recognition from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Webby Awards.
