RBFF Makes History in 2010 ASAE Gold Circle Award Competition

July 2010 – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) announced the organization made history in the 2010 American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Gold Circle Award competition, receiving multiple honors for excellence and innovation in association communications.

“In this year’s competition, RBFF won Gold Circle Awards in four different categories and an Honorable Mention in another,” said Gold Circle Award Committee Chair and ASAE Communication Section Council member Richard A. Belle. “Never before in our competition’s history have four awards and one Honorable Mention been won by a single organization in the same year. We applaud them for their outstanding communications program.”

RBFF received the following honors:

“This is a wonderful achievement for RBFF,” said President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We are truly honored to receive recognition for our work that’s inspiring people to get out on the water and experience the joys of boating and fishing first-hand.”

The annual Gold Circle Award competition selects associations and nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated excellence in communication within a number of categories including magazines, newsletters, websites, blogs, podcasts, media relations campaigns, innovative communications and others. More than 80 judges nationwide participated in the 2010 competition, which received more than 250 entries.
