TakeMeFishing.org Wins 2011 Silver Davey Awards

November 2011 – The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) recognized the Take Me Fishing™ campaign website with two 2011 Silver Davey Awards for creative excellence. TakeMeFishing.org received an award in the lifestyle category, and its online community Fishington, was honored in the community category.

“We are honored to once again receive recognition from IAVA for our work that’s inspiring people to get out on the water and experience the joys of boating and fishing first-hand,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We continually strive to enhance the site, and to look for ways to offer boating and fishing ‘how to’ and ‘where to’ information when and where our visitors want it.”

TakeMeFishing.org is a one-stop resource for boaters and anglers to learn, plan and equip for a day on the water. Its Fishington community now boasts more than 105,000 members, and last year, the site received more than four million visits. In 2011, TakeMeFishing.org has earned recognition from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Webby Awards and the W3 Awards.
