June 2014 – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) announced that the Association of Media & Publishing EXCEL Awards recognized its 2013 Stakeholder Annual Report with a Gold Award in the Promotional Publications category. RBFF was recognized for excellence among printed annual reports. The 34th Annual EXCEL Awards Gala honored 196 winners among the 960 entries submitted.
“We are thrilled to be recognized among our peers,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We celebrated our 15th anniversary in 2013, and are proud to highlight the organization’s many accomplishments in 2013, and years past, in our annual report.”
RBFF’s 2013 Stakeholder Annual Report, The Journey, outlined what was a pivotal year for the organization in which both fishing and boating participation saw gains. In 2013, RBFF put into place some longer term initiatives to engage consumers and advance the sport as a whole. These initiatives included signing a multi-year strategic alliance with the world’s No. 1 admired entertainment company, hiring a Hispanic marketing agency to create a strategic plan to reach the growing Hispanic demographic, and working to better understand the boating and fishing customer experience.
The 34th Annual EXCEL Awards represent 110 organizations and associations, of the 196 winners, who have been chosen as the most exemplary work in editorial, design, marketing, web publishing, mobile applications, and more.
