ALEXANDRIA, VA (December 17, 2019)  The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced that Fishbrain will be the first-ever Presenting Sponsor of its State Marketing Workshop, themed Inclusivity & Connection: The Water is Open to Everyone to highlight the common thread between three of RBFF’s latest pieces of research, and much of what the organization has concentrated on for the past several years. Fishbrain’s financial contribution to the Workshop will help bring marketing expertise, innovative outreach solutions and more to state agency attendees.

Returning to Atlanta, Georgia in February 2020, attendees of this invite-only event will learn:

  • How a customer-first focus can help generate revenue
  • New research findings and recommendations for R3 strategies
  • Successful digital marketing efforts and results from their state agency peers
  • State agency experiences and insights in developing R3 plans
  • State successes in implementing R3 marketing strategies
  • Diverse and engaging concurrent breakout sessions and group discussion
  • And much more!

“Our State Marketing Workshop offers state agency partners a tremendous opportunity to improve and evolve their marketing skills,” said RBFF President & CEO Frank Peterson. “Sponsors are seeing more and more value in supporting such a strong event, and we are thrilled that Fishbrain has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the Workshop this year.”

Fishbrain, the State Marketing Workshop’s first-ever Presenting Sponsor, will be on-hand at the State Marketing Workshop to discuss findings based on fishing data and present ways that state agencies can be active and benefit from the platform.

“Fishbrain and RBFF are longtime partners and share the same goal of making fishing more accessible for everyone. This year, we are showcasing a new feature to present for state agencies to help recruit, retain and reactivate anglers,” said Fishbrain CEO Johan Attby.

Several sponsors are already committed to supporting the 2020 State Marketing Workshop, including contributions from these top-tier sponsors:

  • Presenting: Fishbrain
  • Breakfast: Brandt Information Services
  • Director’s: American Sportfishing Association (ASA)
  • Diamond: Aspira, Discover Boating

There’s still time to contribute to the Workshop with plenty of sponsor levels and perks available. For more information, please contact Rachel Auslander.

Established in 2008, the State Marketing Workshop has brought RBFF’s state agency partners together to discuss the latest trends in the marketplace, as well as share successes and challenges to increasing participation in fishing and boating. All 50 states have been invited to the Workshop since 2010 and the event has evolved to include general marketing training and evaluation.

About the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF)
RBFF is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase participation in recreational angling and boating, thereby protecting and restoring the nation's aquatic natural resources. RBFF's recently announced 60 in 60 effort strives to attract 60 million anglers to the sport by the end of 2021. To help recruit, retain and reactivate participants, RBFF developed the award-winning Take Me Fishing™ and Vamos A Pescar™ campaigns creating awareness about boating, fishing and conservation, and educating people about the benefits of participation. These campaigns help boaters and anglers of all ages and experience levels learn, plan and equip for a day on the water. The campaign websites, TakeMeFishing.org and TakeMeFishing.org/es, feature how-to videos, information on how to get a fishing license and boat registration, and an interactive state-by-state map that allows visitors to find local boating and fishing spots.
