Take Me Fishing™ Wins 2012 ASAE Gold Circle Award

April 2012 – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation's (RBFF) Take Me Fishing campaign website was awarded a 2012 Gold Circle Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). TakeMeFishing.org was honored for excellence in communications in the Website category. This year’s competition received more than 150 entries from association and nonprofit organizations.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by ASAE for the fourth year in a row,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We are constantly enhancing TakeMeFishing.org with new, innovative features and information, and are extremely honored to be recognized among the country’s best associations.”

“Communications is a crucial function for any association – it’s the primary means for sharing information with members and staff,” said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE. “Winners of the Gold Circle Award competition have set a high bar of excellence for us in the association community by integrating the fundamentals of effective communications with elements of innovation, creativity, design, technology, and metrics to measure the effectiveness of their tactics.”

The annual Gold Circle Award competition honors associations and nonprofit organizations that demonstrate excellence in communication across 11 categories, including magazines, newsletters, websites, blogs, podcasts, media relations campaigns and innovative communications.
