Mission: To implement an informed, consensus-based national outreach strategy that will increase participation in recreational angling and boating and thereby increase public awareness and appreciation of the need to protect, conserve and restore this nation’s aquatic natural resources.

Participation: At the heart of RBFF is one overarching objective: to increase participation in boating and fishing throughout the U.S. It may sound like a tall order, but that’s why making it a reality requires a number of players. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, state fish and wildlife agencies, members of the boating and fishing industry…all these groups and many more play a key role. RBFF serves as the nexus — a uniting force, really — that brings these groups together to make a real difference in the number of people who experience the joys of boating and fishing.

Funding: Funding for RBFF is provided through the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, and is administered by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
