RBFF Highlights Boating Efforts at IBEX

ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 3, 2007) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced they will exhibit at this year’s International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) being held Oct. 10 – 12, 2007 in Miami, Fla.

Focusing on the organization’s efforts to increase participation in boating, RBFF staff will provide attendees with the latest information on a new boating and fishing campaign. They will also update attendees on new boating-related features on and provide information about the Anglers’ Legacy program and a pilot program with the Oregon State Marine Board to address declining boat registrations.

“We’re focusing our efforts into four major areas where we think we can have the greatest impact on participation,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “By working closely with our partners to promote both boating and fishing, to increase fishing license sales and boat registrations, and to introduce children to the sport, we hope to energize the industry and help people discover, share and protect the legacy of boating and fishing.”
