RBFF Supports Unprecedented Growth in College Angling
Anglers’ Legacy Program Featured at BoatU.S. National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Events

ALEXANDRIA, VA (September 20, 2007) – Frank Peterson, president and CEO of the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced the organization will once again support the BoatU.S. National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship (NCBFC). The second annual event, which takes place Sept. 27 – 29 at Lake Lewisville near Dallas, Texas, will host 86 teams from 48 schools in 20 states, representing a growth rate of more than 100 percent from last year.

“We are excited to be a part of this great event,” said Peterson. “Education is one of our key initiatives and we’re eager to support events like this that engage young people in the sport. These college anglers act like pros, fish like pros and demonstrate a tremendous respect for the resource. They are great role models for all of us.”

RBFF’s Anglers’ Legacy program will be featured at many of the week’s events as one of many groups supporting the championship. BoatU.S., along with its companion BoatU.S. Angler program, have returned as the championship’s title sponsors for the second year. Additional event partners can be found online.
