RBFF Highlights National Lapsed Angler Recruitment Program at North American Conference
Direct Mail Marketing Program Aims to Increase Fishing License Sales and Grow Participation in Boating & Fishing

ALEXANDRIA, VA (March 21, 2008) – Frank Peterson, president and CEO of the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) will discuss the latest developments in the organization’s direct mail marketing program at the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference being held March 25-29, 2008 in Phoenix, Ariz.

“With 30 states signed on, we have made a substantial first step to increase fishing license sales and to get more people out on the water,” said RBFF President & CEO Frank Peterson. “These state agencies will play a key role in reversing the decline in participation nationwide and help to raise public awareness of conservation efforts that result from fishing license sales and the purchase of tackle and motorboat fuel.”

On Tuesday, March 25 at an RBFF-hosted luncheon, Peterson will update attendees on the direct mail marketing program which includes: a how-to guide developed to increase fishing license sales, public relations toolkit to maintain consistent messaging and help raise awareness on a local level, and marketing and advertising assistance. He will also talk about how additional states can get involved.

If you’d like to set up a one-on-one meeting or interview at the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference, e-mail RBFF Communications Director Heather Sieber or call her at (703) 778-5160.
