ALEXANDRIA, VA (September 24, 2009) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced new enhancements to TakeMeFishing.org with the addition of access to campground reservations through ReserveAmerica, the largest provider of campsite reservations in North America. Site visitors will have the ability to search thousands of campgrounds across the U.S. via the hotspots map and make a direct reservation online. According to the Outdoor Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to growing future generations of outdoor enthusiasts, nearly 40 percent of fishing participants are campers.
“There are strong ties between boating, fishing and camping and we are pleased to provide this additional resource on TakeMeFishing.org,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We know that fishing is the number one gateway activity to get kids interested in other outdoor pursuits, and this new feature will make participation in outdoor activities even easier.”
