ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 25, 2010) – TakeMeFishing.org and its social community, Fishington, have been named W³ Gold and Silver Award winners for website design and development by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA). Since relaunched in 2008 by the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF), TakeMeFishing.org has become the premier online destination for boaters and anglers to learn, plan and equip for a day on the water. Last year, the site logged four million visitors.
“By delivering practical information, fun and community in a dynamic, inviting context, TakeMeFishing.org is attracting more and more people to boating and fishing each year,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “Innovative elements and design, now honored by IAVA, have been key to our website strategy from the start.”
