Take Me Fishing™ Launches New Mobile Website for Boaters and Anglers
Mobile site and additional digital tools to be featured at Miami Boat Show & Bassmaster Classic
Take Me Fishing Goes Mobile!

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (February 15, 2011) – This week, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) will officially unveil the Take Me Fishing™ campaign’s brand new, fully integrated mobile website at the Miami International Boat Show being held February 17 – 20, 2011 in Miami, Fl. and at the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo being held February 18 – 20, 2011 in New Orleans, La.

The new mobile site, which can be viewed at www.takemefishing.org/mobile from smartphones, provides boaters and anglers with on-the-go access to the TakeMeFishing.org Hotspots Map and allows them to save their own mobile hotspots. Users can also find information on a variety of different fish species, boating and fishing tips and tricks, and state licensing and registration requirements.

An award winning website, TakeMeFishing.org has drawn more than 7.9 million unique visitors since it was re-launched in 2008. The mobile version of the website was developed to further support the Take Me Fishing campaign’s mission to be the premier online destination for boaters and anglers to learn, plan and equip for a day on the water.

“With more and more people using smartphones and downloading information on-the-go these days, we knew we had to invest even more into our digital offerings,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We’re proud to be able to provide instant access to the best boating and fishing ‘where to’ and ‘how to’ information right in the palms of our visitors’ hands.”

Visitors to the Miami Boat Show and Bassmaster Classic exhibits will be able to demo the new mobile site and get information about additional digital tools developed by RBFF in the past year including the Take Me Fishing Boat Ramp App, which has already been downloaded by more than 27,000 mobile users. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enter to win an iPad with instructions on how to instantly access the new mobile version of TakeMeFishing.org and download the Boat Ramp App.

RBFF will be on site at the Miami International Boat Show (Booth #2066) and Bassmaster Classic (Booth #7105).
