Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke shares his vision for conservation

On Wednesday, August 2, 2017 RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson and RBFF Vice President of State Engagement Dave Chanda, joined conservation leaders from throughout the country for a Sportsmen Access Ramp-Up Summit at the Department of the Interior. At this invitation-only event, they met with the Interior leadership team to discuss ways to enhance access to our federal lands and waterways. They also attended a reception in Secretary Ryan Zinke’s office where he shared his vision for conservation.

“Access is critical to increasing participation in fishing and boating,” said Peterson. “We were able to share with attendees some information about how RBFF is working to recruit, retain and reactivate participants, and we’re hopeful that this collaboration of conservation organizations and industry will help enrich the Interior’s efforts to increase opportunities for anglers and boaters across the country, further supporting our goal to reach 60 million anglers in 60 months.”
