WebAward Recognizes as ‘Best in Industry’
Take Me Fishing Website and Mobile Site Recognized for Design and Ease of Use

ALEXANDRIA, VA (September 21, 2012) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced its Take Me Fishing campaign website,, and its mobile site, were awarded top honors among the nearly 2,000 entries from the Web Marketing Association’s 16th annual  WebAwards competition. and its mobile version offer comprehensive information to help people learn, plan, and equip for a successful day of boating and fishing.

“Representing the entire boating and fishing industry, we strive to provide a one-stop-shop for those looking to enjoy a day on the water,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We do a lot of research to ensure the Take Me Fishing resources are relevant, easy to navigate and allow visitors instant access to boating and fishing how-to and where-to information when they need it, and in a form that best suits them.”

The Take Me Fishing website and its digital properties drew nearly seven million visits last year. Additionally to date, the award-winning Take Me Fishing Boat Ramp App has been downloaded more than 83,000 times and conducted more than 1.3 million queries.

Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for Website development. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites in 96 industries. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
