On December second, RBFF took to Houston to host a Vamos A Pescar Fishing Workshop with 2017 World Series Champion and Astros slugger, Carlos Correa, who grew up fishing with his family in Puerto Rico. Correa and his fiancé, Daniella Rodriguez, have become a celebrity couple in Texas and were eager to bring the joys of fishing to youth in Houston.
The nearly 100 local kids weren’t the only ones excited to get a piece of the happy couple. Media showed up in droves, including the local Houston affiliates for NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, CW, Telemundo and a national reporter for MLB.com, each getting a one-on-one interview with Carlos and Daniella, leading to 154 million impressions to date. Images and videos of the event were also shared on social media with #FishingWithCarlos.
