Fishing and Boating Take Center Stage at NRPA Congress & Exposition

ALEXANDRIA, VA (September 20, 2007) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) and BASS professional angler Gerald Swindle will take center stage at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Congress & Exposition being held Sept. 25 – 29, 2007 in Indianapolis, Ind.

On Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the opening night Welcome Party event, Gerald “G-Man” Swindle will join the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts, tennis legend Billie Jean King and Olympians Carl Lewis and Rafer Johnson at the RCA Dome, signing autographs and sharing fishing experiences with an anticipated crowd of more than 10,000. Sponsored by Advance Auto Parts and named BASS Angler of the Year in 2004, he will have his custom-wrapped Triton Boat.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase fishing and boating alongside other high profile professional sports,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We also get to promote our great partnership with NRPA and the Take Me Fishing™ Community Initiative in more than 300 parks across the country.”
