RBFF Highlights Boating Efforts at IBEX

ALEXANDRIA, VA (September 30, 2008) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced they will exhibit at this year’s International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) being held Oct. 6 – 8, 2008 in Miami, Fla. RBFF staff will be available to discuss the organization’s efforts to increase participation in boating.

“We look forward to making new connections at IBEX and updating current partners about our efforts to promote boating,” said RBFF President & CEO Frank Peterson. “The revamped TakeMeFishing.org is working harder to drive boat registrations, promote safe boating practices and provide users the tools they need to purchase and maintain a boat.”

RBFF staff will provide information about the Anglers’ Legacy program and how it impacts the boating industry, discuss a pilot program underway to address declining boat registrations and reveal the latest boating features on TakeMeFishing.org. They will also be available to discuss the successful Triple-A Baseball promotion that awarded one lucky grand prize winner with a boat, motor and trailer package.

For more information about RBFF’s programs and resources, visit RBFF.org or call (703) 519-0013. If you’d like to set up a one-on-one meeting or interview at IBEX, e-mail RBFF Communications Director Heather Sieber or call her at (703) 778-5160.
