ALEXANDRIA, VA (September 22, 2009) – TakeMeFishing.org, the premier destination to learn, plan and equip for a day on the water, debuted new fly fishing content this month. Tried and true fly fishing techniques, must-have equipment, need-to-know tips and tricks are now available for those who fly fish or want to learn how.
“Recent research shows us that nearly six million people participate in fly fishing, making 100 million outings each year,” said Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) President and CEO Frank Peterson. “In an effort to continually improve the content on TakeMeFishing.org and keep it relevant for boaters and anglers of all ages and experience levels, we’re happy to expand our fishing section with detailed fly fishing information.”
New fly fishing content on the site includes:

TakeMeFishing.org is the centerpiece of the national Take Me Fishing campaign. The site earned national recognition in 2009 with awards from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Web Marketing Association. In addition, the site’s social network, Fishington – The Fishing & Boating Capital of the Internet, was recognized by the Webby Awards and the Web Marketing Association.
